Lady J –
Great shoe so comfortable. Surprisingly lightweight with good support which is what I had hoped for. I haven’t been very athletic since being diagnosed with cancer. I am looking to get back into walking and hiking more but was having problems with my feet and shoes from weight gain. I will be doing this soon with more confidence and support from a great shoe. I am already looking to purchase another pair for walking and everyday wear because they are so comfortable.

The sole is AWESOME!!!! So stable no ankle rolls love love love

I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t get my old Tor ultra high when it was time to replace my favorite shoes. I ordered these shoes as a replacement. I have not been disappointed since I received the shoes I love them!! I bought my husband a pair and he loves them too!

I love these boots! They are lightweight & comfortable and have great support. They were almost like snowshoes in light snow, and now that mud season is almost here in the Northeast, I’m going to use them even more often.

Very stable, best winter walking boot I’ve ever had
Hiking M –
These were comfortable right out of the box (I always use custom insoles so can’t speak to the ones that come with the shoes). I wasn’t sure about the extended heel, but after a few slippery, gravelly hikes, I am sold. No slipping, super stable.

I love the fit. I love the feel and cushioning and how they are on the trail my concern is the large extension of the heel part. I have gotten it caught a few times and nearly tripped. You need to be aware of where that heel part is.

Ordered my shoes Monday and received them Tuesday (as in the next day) with the free shipping! The shoes are comfortable and very pretty on! I run my marathons in a Nike 6.5 but I am traditionally a women’s size 6 so I tried these in a 6 and they are perfect! Great quality and so happy with this purchase!

I have terrible plantar faciitis and couldn’t hike or walk. These are big but light and allow me to hike a few mileswithout discomfort. I also recover quickly from the heel pain when I wear these compared to my regular tennis. I like that I can put my custom insole in them as well. Great quality and cushioning for my feet. A little concerned about rock hiking in them and steplike hiking but was fine. Life savers
My mom just bought 2 pair after trying mine on- she has neuroma in her foot and loves these.

Used them right out of the box for a 5 miler. They were totally comfortable

Cushioning is good. Support and grip are excellent. The only thing I don’t like is the hooks at the ankle. Too stiff for the shoelace making it annoying when lacing. Not a deal breaker ! These boot are great on the trail.

Love these shoes! Comfy and supportive!! Great for hiking!

I just received my Hokas this morning and so far so good. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and so my feet need maximum support. These boots were super comfortable right out of the box. I love them because of how light weight they are and how supported my feet and ankles are. Dare I say that they are super cute as well!

Just picked these up a few days ago and I love them. They were super comfortable right out of the box. They are my go to hikers in rain or shine.

The hiking shoes were true to fit. Although they are Gortex they are extremely breathable and very light weight. I’m wearing them all the time because of how comfortable they are. Great ankle support. Just looking at them makes me very happy.

I am in my 70s and wondered if these HOKAs would be too difficult for me, but I love them. The fit is excellent, and they give me boost where I need it on challenging hills. I would definitely buy them again.
Kacey –
They are beautiful boots & I need the waterproofing but I’m still trying to give them some more time on the trails. My first hike caused some pain in my knees & ankles. My current hikers are Kahas so some body adjustment are required. The wing on the back takes some getting use to. Still under evaluation.

My feet tend to get very sore and a neuroma in my left foot can get irritated after a few miles of hiking.
I was very comfortable backpacking on a four mile hike.
The only noticeable discomfort was my bunion toe joints were sore from hiking on uneven rocky trails.
In general overall I’m happy with these weird shaped hiking boots.
Moxster –
I sm recovering from major ankle reconstruction/ high ankle sprain. The wide heal gives me the stability I needed and the shoe is lightweight, exceptionally comfortable. Never thought I could hike again and here I am! One of the best shoes I’ve worn. Great grip, excellent ankle support and handles well over rough terrain.

These are amazing! They feel like a trail runner (NOT A BOOT) that happens to have ankle support. I hate boots, but these are a game changers. I have found that the heel shape forces you to keep your form, especially when you get tired and fatigued. I was doing 13 mi a day in them + scrambling up mountains. No issues going down sheer rock faces. Seriously, they really make you self-aware in the hike – like a mediation – not in a bad way. My sister has them as well. She is a 7.5, and also sized up. She is doing half-dome in them, For me, true to size was pressing on my big toe. Be prepared to answer questions on the trail about them – serious hikers want to know. I do agree with the tag line, in these, you could “hike all day.”
Catskillgal –
I can’t say enough good things about these boots. I have terrible foot pain problems and bursitis and arthritis in both of my hips. And bad knees! This is due to my very active lifestyle. Wear and tear of my body over the years. Hiking became extremely painful for me and I was rarely doing it. And when I was it was short hikes. Hiking is my joy! These gave me back the freedom to just go hiking on every little whim that I have. Really long hikes I still get aches in my feet and hips but after resting The next day I am fine. And short hikes I have no problems at all in my feet or my hips. I am 56 for reference. I am 5’3″ tall and weigh 140 pounds. I got these boots in a ladies size 9 and they are quite roomy. I would say definitely true to size though . I have a wide foot and I did not order a wide size and I have plenty of room. Whenever I start a hike I have to stop a couple times to adjust the laces just to make it perfect and there are no problems. At first I thought they were really funky looking and now I just absolutely adore them.
Kim –
When the hiking boots arrived I was disappointed from the moment I opened the box. They are not even close to the red color on the website and instead, and are more of a rusty brown. Also, the exterior of the shoe is enormous so they practically need their own suitcase for travel. In terms of the fit, the toebox is extremely wide.
AmberTheBamber –
The cushiest hiking shoes I’ve ever owned. Got about 6 miles and 1300 ft into a hike before my feet felt anything. The balls of my feet usually get sore a couple of miles in. These are a dream for training for longer hikes.
Chelsey –
These are the most comfortable hiking boots I ever owned! What a difference in grip and cushioning over my Merrills! The ankle support is top notch, and the cushion under the heels and toes feels so good. I just took them on their maiden voyage up Mt. Sanitas near Boulder and I didn’t slip once coming back down (great grip!). Okay, yes, they look a bit ridiculous with that big heel, but who cares! I looked much more ridiculous before when I was limping around for days after a hike in my old boots. I’ve decided to embrace the odd appearance of these boots—I’m out there for the exercise and time in nature, not a fashion contest!
Tonya –
Absolutely love this hiking boot. I started my Appalachian 2021 thru-hike last March in these and literally walked the sole off, they lasted 704 miles ! The tread is extremely grippy and with below zero temps going through the Smokies my feet stayed warm & dry. I walked from Georgia to Virginia in my Tennine’s then switched out to speedboats for the rest of my hike. In all I went through 4 pairs of Hoka’s in my 2,193.1 mile journey.
I highly recommend this brand. Period. My first attempt of the Appalachian trail was in 2020 and I was wearing Altra’s for my hiking shoe and after I got through Georgia i began to have knee issues, there simply wasn’t enough support or cushion for my feet, I then switched permanently to HOKAS and I’ve never had any issues with my knees again. Your feet are everything, especially if your going on a long distance hike.
Smiles for miles
