I love the Speedgoat. I have been wearing them for YEARS! I like having a Gortex pair for the winter, however, every year the Gortex is only offered in black. This is getting a bit boring. Please come up with some other color combinations!

This is a poorly designed shoe. The tongue is sewn into the shoe and it is impossible to get your foot in it. Even once I was able to jam my foot in and there was plenty of space in the toe area, the arch of my foot felt crammed.

The top of the shoe was made of a strange, unmovable plastic material. It actually hurt the top of my foot to get the shoe off. The tongue of the shoe also gathered up on the top of my foot. This was the oddest pair of HOKA’s I have ever tried, and I own a few. The shoe was very light weight and the sole tread was fantastic. If only the top of the shoe was made of a better material. They went back right away.

I wanted a waterproof , lightweight shoe for the miles and miles I walk my dog in the pnw rain. Got the wide, but something is definately off in the fit of this shoe. I’m a 6.5 W and my toe was almost to the edge of the shoe. Despite being a wide, the shoe felt tight along the arch of my foot . . . maybe because the tongue is fixed. The laces are impossible to move. This shoe was a big fail for me. If only Solomon made the speedcross 6 W in GTX. There are virtually no options in GTX for a wide foot. Back to the drawing board.

I love the Speedgoat 5 trail shoe. I was excited to buy the 6, but it was such a disappointment. I really liked the pattern of the 6. The toe box was so big and bulky and I tripped over my own feet. I returned it and purchased the 5 which I love.

Toe Box is not wide enough and the shoe is too long and narrow. I’ve never had a size “8” be too long but these were. I wish you would offer a wide in this shoe in the better colors. I hate black tennis shoes on a female.

These shoes were a complete disappointment. Not comfortable, fits all wrong and too tight. Rubber is obnoxious. Returned them the day after being received.

This is my 6th pair of Speedgoats and they are just not as comfortable as my others. They are much stiffer and the sole is harder. I doubt I will be buying another pair. I have a previously broken foot and I rely on them for their comfort, so I can hike.

I really liked the appearance of these shoes, but they were, as other reviewers stated, an odd fit – kind of narrow even in a Wide size,especially across the top arch’s of my feet.
Hoka, please make more gtx offerings nin WIDE!

I run and hike several times a week. The toe box is smaller on the Speedgoat 6, and the tongue is cut low and sharply with thin fabric. The 4 had a higher, more padded tongue which felt so good. The 6 cuts into my ankle even with thick socks. Very disappointed.

Ok- bought them for the waterproofness but that are not where near as soft and comfortable as my other hokas.

Have been wearing Hoka’s for years now and are great shoes, however, this last pair we got for my wife are too tight on her and there is little room for her toes. Loosening the shoe strings doesn’t help much with the GTX because the tongue is connected to the sides for water-proofing.

Appearance wise, these shoes are great. Unfortunately, there’s no support. The fit is wrong. Not sure what happened with the design but I’ve had shoes half the price with better quality and support. Wish I could say something nice.

These shoes took forever to put on my feet. I have a high instep. Once I got it on the toebox was ok, but the instep area was way to tight.

This is my 3rd pair of Hokas so I felt confident that the size would be a good fit. I will be wearing them on a trek in place of hiking shoes and so far they feel great!

these weren’t and aren’t as comfortable pretty stiff this is my 4th pair HOKA with the Speedgoat 5 GTX Spike shoes being the most comfortable

The tongue of this shoe is sewn down on both sides. If you loosen the laces to widen the fit, nothing changes; I found the shoe too constricting.

I made the mistake of not trying these shoes out before wearing them out of the house, so I think I’m stuck with them. Each step I take the shoes (each of them) make a popping sound.
They dont slip off my feet, so I don’t think they’re too big. I genuinely just think it’s the shoe. This is the first pair I’ve owned. Bought my daughter and I each a pair. She loves hers. Says her feet don’t hurt an hour into her shift anymore.
Wish I could get past the popping noise cause they’re not bad, just hate the noises they make.

I wear Hoka for my gym class and I really like it. I need a trail waterproof shoe for an upcoming trip in a wide size but this black is the only color available. I took the chance to try this on and see if I can live with the color. Unfortunately not! Fit is okay but the color is really dull for me. I wish they would offer Wide sizes in other colors. Sorry but I have to return this.
