FITS PERFECT !! AMAZING SUPORT AND FEELS LKE WALKING ON MARSHMALLOWS!
I LOVE THIS SHOE SO MUCH I BOUGHT 3 PAIR!!!
Pacific N –
Overall: COMFY shoe and good purchase experience
ME: 5’5, Pacific NW girl, plus size, active, walker/groomed trail hikes, medium width
PROs:
* Originally purchased size 9 womens shoe received original order within 48-72 hours (shoe was 1/2 size too small for my foot)
* Elected for the official “Hoka Exchange” for 9.5 and it was FAST; again, received within 48-72 hours (thank u)
* Shoe is comfy, cushions small bunions on foot outside – i supinate – needed extra cushion
CONs: (Hoka – please consider these updates/changes to the future iterations of the shoe development cycle) (could easily fit into your future sprints)
* This MID GTX would benefit from a boot/shoe pull on the rear of the shoe at the ankle (make the shoe easier to pull on)
* Size Label in Shoe: TOO SMALL – please move the location of the shoe size label from the inside left of the shoe to the inside of the shoe tongue and increase label size to at least one (1) inch if not 1 1/2 “inch – currently size label is about 5/8” of an inch and impossible to read even with my glasses on
* Consider adding the shoe size to the bottom of the shoe too; if nothing else ease of finding/reading the thing
* Please consider a velcro version of one of your shoes – my mom’s gait for example, could really benefit from the build, engineering, and components of the shoe but she would never be able to tie it – she would need a shoe with easy to use velcro straps

I am 67 year old out of shape cancer survivor . I was having so much pain in my legs and back wearing my favorite work boots and/or shoes around farm while trying to get back to my pre-cancer routines.. After trying another style Hoka for exercising indoors ,I saw these on line and decided to give them a try. They have done nothing short of changing my life … or should I say giving it back . I can walk over wet pastures, down gravel roads and even through puddles . I can stay on my feet all day and my feet are happy . My legs are happy and I have no back pain . I can even clean them up good as new to take me out of my rural paridise and into suburba. What a great shoe….please do not change them -ever.

Wore these out backpacking and they were butter right out of the box. So comfy I forgot I was wearing new shoes! I’m a huge Stinson 6 fan but wanted to try these out as I prepare for the Camino in hopes that they will provide a bit of ankle stability, which they did.
Highly recommend, absolutely zero complaints about the shoe’s function. The color option, however, leaves much to be desired. If you plan to make ONE color option for women that is intensely feminine, at least offer gender neutral options additionally.

I ran my first pair into the ground, working outside in uneven terrain off trail. For three years of heavy use, I definitely got my mileage out of them. I purchased my second pair after the sole started separating from the boot and I could start feeling rocks through the tread. They are pretty water resistant but your foot will get damp in heavy precipitation (wearing quick dry wool socks keeps them feeling dry). Perfect balance temperature wise. They are breathable and cool yet warm when you want them to be. My first impressions of my new pair are that they remain very comfortable with zero break in time. I’m a little worried that they may not hold up as well as my first pair, but time will tell. Also, I wish the laces were a little longer.

I just went for a wet trail in Colorado and all of my friends had problems with their shoes getting wet or hurting their feet. My HOKA was just perfect! My feet were dry the whole time even I stepped in water and mud. They are very comfortable and very stable. I was worried about the rocks being so slippery. NO problem! Perfect perfect shoes

Bought these right before a hike-heavy family trip to CO which includes me wearing about 40lbs of an adorable toddler and miscellaneous gear on my back on the trails. These shoes are amazing – the toe box is plenty wide, the extra ankle support with the midi height is great, and the tread is perfect for gripping rocks and mud to keep us both safe. Love these and can’t wait to try them on the trail back home.

It is pretty & comfortable. I just hoped that for the price, it would provide better support. Oh, well.

These were nice shoes, however I am spoiled to the cushiness of the women Bondi 7. They also ran a half size small. I am returning and debating on ordering the Kaha 2 GTX or the Tennine Hike GTX.

I’ve had 4 pairs of the older speedgoat mid GTX shoes. I absolutely love them, and I’m stoked they made a new version. The 5’s are a little bit lighter than the previous versions, and I’m very happy with them. The only thing I’ve noticed is that I think because they’re lighter the sole is made of a different material. I noticed the sole scuffs/micro tears earlier than the previous ones. Not a big deal, just something I noticed. Don’t let that take away from the magic of these shoes though.

I love Hokas; this is my second pair of speegoat mids after my beloved first pair finally lost all traction on the bottom of the sole! These definitely run small; I wear an 8.5 in dress shoes and a 9 in athletic shoes, but this time for a little extra toe room I tried a 9.5 for the first time in my life, and to my surprise they fit perfectly. The high tops are a bit stiff but I’m sure will soften with use.

Hoka Speedgoat 5 MID GTX is a great shoe! It is the perfect fit, and so far the only shoe I can walk and walk and walk in without adding an orthotic for my plantar fasciitis. I had worn out my previous pair, and wanted to order another pair only to find it is being discontinued and replaced with a different model/version. However, they did have my size on sale on close out, so instead of buying the newer version to try, I bought the exact same pair again. I truly hope that the new replacement version is just as comfortable.

I love it so much.. they are comfy and beautiful. Everybody in the Gym says ” they are beautiful ” I’m so happy I will get another soon.. Thank you Hoka!!!

I have had serious issues with my toes including surgery. I put these on and was amazed at how comfortable they are. Mine are a size 8, which I normally wear, and they are a perfect fit. My feet are on the narrow side. The toe box on these is ideal!

She loves the Hoka shoes!

I wear these hiking in AZ and CO. Fit great, accommodate my orthotic. This is my second pair of Speedgoat 5 mid hikers. I heard the 6 is not as fabulous so these will hopefully keep me on the trail for a long while.

Very comfy to wear and cool design. Got considerable attention for the shoes, while enjoying my rest day in Disneyland parks. Worth it and more.
