First off I love the look of the shoe. I was looking for some high-performance running shoes, and I searched new balance as well as haka, as well as Nike in the seem to be the most stylish shoe with the most comfort and bounce that I was searching for. I love the way they are light on my feet and not heavy at all as well as the bounce I have a bad knee and these shoes give me no knee pain while running. The price is a little expensive but I feel like it’s an investment in my health since they feel so good on my feet and my knees feel great as well. I do have narrow feet so the shoe works well for me. I have seen other reviews that if you have a wide feet the fill is different and my case the shoe feels great.
Marathoner –
When I first took my Rocket X 2 out for a training run I felt like I was on pogo sticks. The bounce in this shoe is none I had ever experienced in a running shoe before. I felt like I could run forever. I definitely run faster than in any other shoe because it just propels you. I have been wearing Hokas for 8 years (Bondis and Cliftons) since they were recommended by my podiatrist after a toe issue I had and I haven’t worn any other brand since. As a seasoned marathoner I normally run in the Bondi but thought I would give the Rocket a try for my (full) marathon I ran earlier this year. I wasn’t sure how I would hold up but after doing my long 18 and 20 milers pre race I was amazed and knew I could pull it off. After running 20+ marathons over the years I have to say I recovered the fastest with this shoe. I was not as sore and had no aches or pains after the race. I had my doubts initially, not sure I could do a full marathon in this shoe but I was blown away! I highly recommend you give it a try. I will definitely purchase for my next big race!

These are the best running shoes I have ever worn–the perfect balance of cushion and responsiveness. They really pop. Please keep making them. They make me happy.
Amy –
I absolutely love these shoes!!! I cam run now without my knees hurting!!
Mai –
They are nice running shoes, though I think there are other shoes that are better for the price. Overall they are bouncy and comfortable, though I was feeling them too much after a 20km run.
Sal –
Awesome
Fer –
The shoe feels nice bit the fit is WAY to tight. Never had this issue with other Hokas

Best shoes ever!!! I love them
You can use them everyday , perfect support
I’m very happy with them, definitely I’ll buy them again & I’ll recommend them for running and everyday activities.

It’s the most comfortable shoe Ive ever wore

I like them for short runs or short races. I am an avid distance runner so they aren’t cushioned enough for my slower pace but still were comfy, stable, and roomy. I went up a size in them and glad I did. They run a bit narrow and small. I did great in my short races and got a new PR. They did well on mileage up to 5/7 miles but I didn’t go any further because I know what I need and these are more for shorter runs for me. I may consider a half but that’s as far as I think I can go but prefer to use them in my 5k or 10ks instead. Well done but just not for a long distance for me but a great shoe.

Felt very bouncy but didn’t make my legs feel fatigued after like other carbon plated racing shoes. Felt very absorbing but also springy leaving less shock on my legs but still felt that energy coming back. 10/10 would recommend to anyone considering

Use them for racing. Extremely comfortable. Noticeable improvement in pacing with the carbon plate. Will buy again!

I’ve owned many shoes before. From Adidas Boston 12s to Alphaflys next %, Saucony endorphin speed 2, and vapor fly 2s. These are definitely a competitor as the best racing/speed shoes I’ve had. It’s not as propulsive as the first Alphaflys, but they definitely give you that fast turnover and energy return; to be completely honest, there’s not a huge difference between the two. Additionally, these definitely help keep me linear and from pronating.
Lastly, I’ve tried on multiple different running shoes and tested them out as well and it was hard to tell the difference between the following and the Rocket X2 (Adidas Pro 3, Saucony Elite 3, vaporfly 3).
Also–My piece of advice to all the people out there: do not trust the running influencers out there. Find what fits you. No shoe’s going to solve your problems. Trust yourself and your training plan to meet the end state.

The level of cushion along with the responsiveness of the carbon makes these shoes unbeatable. I’m running faster with far less effort than my Cliftons and Rincons!

I have in the past found a little “discomfort” with certain pairs, but I feel now recently I am finding my “feet” with my new pairs. I have inserts which fit easily and make the comfort even more surprising.
Jo –
This shoe feel similar to my mach 6, only faster.
Size women 10, so unisex 9/10
Dave M –
This shoe is almost too perfect. Feels great and handles very well. Great for paces 6:00 and under. Almost don’t want to put miles on these shoes because they are so great.
Shannon –
This shoe is cushioned, springy, and fast. I’ve worn it for a nine-mile workout and it easily shaved off about 15 seconds per mile at same effort compared to Clifton trainers. My biggest complaint is the narrow toe box. Race shoes are supposed to fit like a glove, but not constrict. These are constricting. In addition, the heel material is thin, and it rubs a bit. I got a small blister near my ankle from the first wear.
Renee –
I made the mistake of buying the Rocket 2s for my first marathon training and now I cannot wear anything else. I will never train without them.
Mike –
This is the 2nd pair of the Rocket X2 that I’ve had. The first pair I used to set a 30 minute PR in the marathon. I’ve been using them on my 20-mile training runs. They feel grest for that after 200 miles. The 2nd pair i bought for an upcoming marathon. I used them recently to set a 2 minute PR in a 5k. They are back in the box until my new marathon. I absolutely love this shoe for long races. I often have pain in the top of my foot. These shoes are so comfortable with no pain even after 26 miles.
Twinkeler –
Love my new Rocket X2. Have been running on Rincons for years and they are still my daily trainers, but Rocket X2 are my new race day shoes. Ran the Angry Unicorn Half in Rhode Island and set a new PR!
Fedor –
Alot of spring and comfortable
PrincessHoka –
I am so confused. Every pair of HOKA’s I’ve purchased has been wide..A generous sock allowing width, which I really appreciate, even though I don’t wear socks with my tennis shoes.
I find the expanse great because I do have slight bone spurs on both feet.
But this pair!? My toes were stacked on top of each other.
I even checked the box and inside of the shoe to see if I was accidentally sent the wrong size.
No such luck.
I was soooo excited for this shoe!
Super bummed and returned it today:(

I recently advanced from long walks and hikes daily to running daily so I am new to running, not a “lifer”. And I had been running in Gaviota’s and recently advanced to Mach X2 which have been great for my daily workouts. Upon recommendation of a close friend I decided to try the Rockets for races and they are superb! I set a new personal record in my very first race. They are similar enough to the Mach X2 that they feel familiar to my feet get also feel special on my feet and the chip time on my race confirms that they are!
