As an adult with diabetes, I’ve been wearing Crocs around the house for years. At my recent annual Podiatrist office visit, he recommended the Hoka Recovery sandal. I’d never heard of it before even though I’ve been wearing Hoka shoes for years starting with the Clifton 3, which I should throw away but still wear occasionally. Well, I ordered the Hoka Recovery sandal and I have to say it’s typical Hoka quality can cushy. When I step into these, they raise me up at least an inch. I definitely recommend them. The only change I recommend is to add a Recovery sandal that protects the toes since a diabetic can have multiple problems if hurting or injuring your toes.

I purchased these Ora Athletic slides (size 8) as house shoes due to the pain of walking. I went ahead and purchased them after reading the reviews and some had trouble with them being too big and foot slipping. I wanted them snug and comfy. My normal size is a 9 and after wearing these around the house (size 8) seem to be the right fit, my foot does not slide front to back and they are snug around the top of my feet. I have experienced some blisters due to breaking them in under my last toes, so I will wear socks with them. Hoping these will last longer than my slippers.

Really wanted to like these but being unisex they were way to wide. Even with socks they simply did not fit well. Had to return.

I give this slide 5 stars for comfort and 4 stars for design. After a little trial and error, I ended up getting my normal size, size 8, and that was the right choice. Some people are having a hard time determining which size to get, but I’d say if you get your normal size you should be all right. This slide is extremely comfortable because of all it’s cushioning. But I’m not a fan of the design. I think the way the heel sticks out in the back is rather odd. I’m also not a huge fan of the large “Hoka” written on the top of the slide, but since I’m using these as slippers, I’ll give it a pass. I got these because I’ve had plantar fasciitis in both feet, so I need cushioned footwear.

The first pair I bought were way too big and had to size down. I brought the right size pair to my sister’s house and they wear slides instead of slippers so I wore mine every day. They are very comfy and I love the red color.

I have luxury vinyl wood laminate floors and these are the most comfortable shoes ever for inside my house only. I’ve had other brand slides and these are the best. I feel less stress on my hips. Amazing!!!! And they’re true to size. I’m an 8 and the 8 was perfect. My feet are not narrow or wide, so keep that in mind. Got these in red. I wipe them periodically to maintain the brightest possible.
