Bought the all gender size 8.5, Feels little sloppy, I put my own insert in without taking theirs out and it feels much better
Paul –
too small of a toe box and not as soft of an interior as the 9 other Hoka shoes I have bought. I did call and ask if you had a hiking shoe with a larger toe box and this is what they suggested. Im going to keep them and hope they soften and open up
Jaida –
They’re very comfy and stylish!

I am a huge fan of Hoka, I think I bought 3 pairs this year alone. Bought these new Kaha’s and have worn them for the past month. Only complaint is that they are not plush. After long walks my feet are not happy like they are in Bondi’s or Clifftons. I would have said this sole is responsive, its hard and firm. It is really the only pair I own now that I may consider donating. Love the brand, but these are not pleasant.
Pregnant W –
Was recommended by a friend because I’m dealing with pregnancy back pain. They are so nice!
Liz –
When I ordered them I did t realize that they were hiking shoes.
Frank –
Hurt my feet. Seems like a great shoe for the right person but I need to return.

I was SO CLOSE to keeping this shoe. The styling was less, uh, robust than other Hoka shoes but I was ok with the pale clay color. There were three issues 1. It was slightly large, I had to death grip the laces to keep my heel from lifting, and oddly my left shoe was flexing at my little toe, which was uncomfortable. Both of those issues were surmountable, but ultimately an all leather gortex shoe was just too warm for summer desert hiking. A great cool weather shoe, if it fits.

I was so excited for these because of how much I loved the style. Hoka’s have been a favorite for me comfort wise, but I’ve never been a fan of all the bright colors, preferring a more simple/neutral color palette. So I was thrilled when I saw this style pop up when looking for new trail shoes. I ordered my usual 8s (in Clifton’s) but had to exchange for an 8.5. Unfortunately, the fit was still off – I had to tie the laces so tight (and use the extra hole at the ankle) to keep my heel from slipping out. But by tightening them so much, the area around the front of my ankle rubbed so painfully it was all I could think about on my walk.
I would agree with other reviewers that these definitely didn’t feel as plush as the Clifton’s, but would have kept them if it weren’t for the heel slippage/ankle rubbing issue. I am keeping the mid-height version of these in mind for when I replace my hiking boots because I love the colors so much.
Please bring these color schemes/simplistic designs to your regular running shoes!

Great for trail running and also so cute to wear casually day to day. Love ’em!

I work in moble healthcare and walk a lot in the elements. I walk a few miles a day. I thought this would be a good shoe it seem rugged enough for my day to wear. However the inside heel has hole worn into it, the sole is completely worn flat on the ball, and stitching on the top eyelet is coming out. I ordered and received them in May. Only 4.5 months. I had high hopes for there durability but they really feel short. They are very comfortable I will give them that but for the price point I really expected a higher quality shoe.
Quality C –
Questionable quality control for an expensive shoe. Right shoe had a defect in the padding, missing some in a location which caused and area to crease in towards the foot making it very uncomfortable to wear. The exchange process isn’t straight forward and I have no indication its being processed.
Kellie –
I really liked these shoes when I first got them, but have since realized they are quite uncomfortable and I think it may be the sizing. I ordered these in my typical Hoka size but find that my toe is hitting during a hike, and causing pain through my legs. These do look great and have been durable, I just think maybe the sizing is a bit off!

I wear it every day. I love it

Why did you change the structure and width of the Stinson?? For the last 4 years it’s the only shoe I can wear. Not only that, the new colors are atrocious. Why why why?? I’m going to have to find another show brand now. I know you have millions of customers but ya just lost one.
Jan –
Was really excited about this shoe, but as other have noted, the design is just a little bit off. The heel area is weirdly roomy — in order for my heel not to slip, I have to tie the laces so tight that it painfully squeezes my ankle and top of my foot. This is not an issue with other Hokas I own. Until they redesign this, I would not recommend. Will be returning.
Rainbow –
Nice shoe. Well-made. But too narrow for my foot. This is not one of the Hoka models with a nice, wide toebox.
Marv –
Everything was perfect
Ninebark –
Hoka makes great shoes, but they gave no idea how ti size a shoe. I have three pairs of Hola’s and they are all different sizes based on the model. This shoe is just way to narrow. If you do not believe me, just read all the rest of the reviews. Come Hoka, get your act together. You make a good shoe…

I tried a pair of Hoka running shoes when they first came out. The toe box was too big and I returned them. Well, not I don’t run and my right foot is wider and everyone is crazy for Hokas so I gave them another try in a walking/hiking version. These felt like a dream as soon as I slipped them on and will be my go to for long walks, hiking, and travel. Ordered another pair for back up and plan to shop the line.
TT G –
They are the best shoes I’ve ever purchased. I purchased them for a trip to Newport, RI. I wore them for 12 hours, trail walking and shopping and I felt great. These shoes have incredible support, durable and extremely comfortable. Buy these shoes!

I needed to find a comfortable, packable, waterproof shoe to take on a trip overseas next month. This shoe is exactly what I was looking for. It fits perfectly and is very comfortable. It won’t take up too much space in my luggage and will work perfectly for the planned hiking.
SLGantz –
He loves these shoes. It helps with balance and feels good on the knees. Great casual shoes for everyday wear.

Working a summer job where I’m on my feet all day, moving, lifting, etc.
I started the job wearing my usual flat Reeboks, but after the first week my back was starting to hurt from lack of support. So I copped these because I wanted something that was comfortable, supportive, and good if the weather gets bad.
After the first week, back problems gone!
Oh, and not only do these shoes accomplish all that but they are good weight for throwing at homophobic bigots too!
Was driving through the middle of nowhere when my friends and I got called a homophobic slur out of nowhere. So, in my brand new Hokas, I hopped out of the car, chased the dude down, and yeet’d my shoe right at his rear window.
My wonderful new Hokas flew through the air like a butterfly, made its mark with a satisfying smack, and bounced a few times after impact. Picked my shoe up with not so much of a scratch on it.
10/10 purchase.

Nice warm hiking shoe
