Kris I –
I love the style of the shoe, and it’s as comfortable as you’d expect a Hoka shoe to be. But I wore them to work and found the soles to be slippery on damp floors. The first day I wore them, I almost wiped out on the vinyl tile floors at the RMV. I’d have thought a trail shoe would have a sole with some grip? I still like them, but it’s something I will have to stay aware of.

Love my Hoka’s. This is my third pair. One slight problem is that I have always worn 9.5 size and my first two pairs were that size. When I ordered this third pair, 9.5, they were too big. Thanks to your very good exchange policy I was able to send those back and receive size 9. I will continue to purchase my walking shoes from you and spread the word!

I bought my usual size in other (Bondis) Hokas, but these are longer with a stiff sole, and a narrow toe box. Consequently, I had to return them.

They are actually huge huge huge. I am an absolute fan of all products Hoka and this is the on time I didn’t listen to the reviews and it was an absolute disaster! Please don’t buy these for any reason. They are a complete disaster!!!

Love the quality of the shoe, very well made. I am finding that the tongue is uncomfortable on the top of my foot, feels like it’s pinching, not laced super tight either. I also find that the opening of the shoe is too big, doesn’t allow shoe to be laced up securely to keep heel from slipping up and down, the shoes are correct in sizing as my toes reach the toe of the shoe and heel is at the back of the shoe. Just need extra eyelets to lace up further or a smaller opening in next model. Trying to get used to them, have worn them 3 times now and I just try not to think about the issues.

I regularly wear Bondi or Challenger, this is not as comfortable and feels stiff and less supportive. Might need more of a ‘breaking in’ period and I hope I end up liking them more.

Planning on walking the Camino de Santiago. Wanted a light weight shoe with plenty of cushioning that has good traction & support. Have previously worn 2 different Kaha boots hiking, that fit right out of the box. The Kaha 2 rubbed my ankles. Returned them & bought the Kaha 2 boots locally. Ankle rubbing resolved, but I need to purchase insoles that have better cushioning. These are not anywhere near as plush as my 2 older pairs of Kahas. I compared the insoles & they are definitely thinner & less cushiony feeling! Thought maybe the insoles had been swapped. No they had Kaha 2 written on them. Put my old insoles in the new boots-feels much better. I would also suggest making the tongue slightly longer & or putting the loop back on the tongue as the laces ride up above the tongue. Please go back to how they were before the Kaha 2. The older ones were much better.

Walking and Hiking. This is my first time purchasing this brand. Usually I buy the Stinson. Those are perfect.

Bought these as fall and winter walking shoes but didn’t keep them. Main issues are the over sized lip behind the heel and the extended part of the sole in the back. Wish they had worked out because they are so comfy and supportive for walking.

I am very disappointed that the grommets at the top of the laces (light turquoise in color) are plastic especially considering the hefty price tag. They should be metal to last over time when considerable tension is applied to lace them tighter. I foresee them cracking, or coming loose or other similar type failure. Otherwise a fantastic shoe! They do fit a little bigger than my other Hoka’s in the same size, but that’s ok because it can accomodate a thick hiking sock.

I’m sure these shoes will be fantastic for some, but not for me. I’m disappointed, but my Chiropractor just recently encouraged me not to wear super cushy shoes. He said that it’s better not to have so much cushion. I just love my HOKA’s but I’m going to switch it up a bit from now on.

I slipped these KAHA 2 LOW GTX’s on and it was a perfect fit! No break in period and so comfortable!

I usually wear an 8 1/2 in Hokas. These run large. .Needed 1/2 size smaller to fit. Also, the “swallowtail” on the heel is really strange!

I usually wear an 8.5 in Hokas. These run large and an 8 fit. However, the “swallowtail” on the heel is really strange. Returned for a refund.

I have been a big fan of Hoka and have loved every shoe I’ve bought Except this one. It has the widest, most uncomfortably large heel I have ever had in a shoe. Double inserts did not stop the constant rubbing and therefore my ankles blistered. My toe is right up to the top so a smaller pair would not have work. It is also NOT PLUSH like the Bondi although claims to be. Try any of the other shoes. They were expensive and I feel ripped off.

I live in the Black Hills of South Dakota and I wear these shoes to walk in the hill, walk the dogs and go to town. The shoes are comfortable and sturdy. I have problems with my back and these shoes are great just like my Bondis

I wanted waterproof, and I got that, but these are very hard soled shoes. No cushioning really.

CRAPPEST SHOES EVER. DONT WASTE UR MONEY. I WOUND’T GIVE THEM ANY STARS.
Coop –
Wonderful shoe, great value and these are very popular at my Gym. Unfortunately they are way too wide in my heel, so I need to return. If you have a narrow’ish heel, perhaps pick a different shoe.

I’ve been wearing exclusively Hola products for several years. The product was first recommended to me by my orthopedic doctor as I have trouble with my ankles. Since then I’ve worn HOKA sneakers and boots covering me all season daily walking. This KAHA was a new model for me. I’ve not had the opportunity to wear them a lot yet but am very happy with them thus far. I have had 2 pairs of HOKA Tor Summit and since this model (that I loved) has been discontinued I’ve been looking for something to replace it. Last winter I wore the more winter like Challenger and was happy with those. I’ve also worn the Challenger sneaker in summer months. I think this KAHA 2 may be a great replacement option. Nice looking as well as comfortable.
Dee –
The fit, color and support are exactly what I had hoped for!
Maggie –
Terrific shoe & color

I love these hiking shoes! They’re very stable and keep my feet dry while walking in rainy conditions. I will always have a pair on hand. Thanks Hoka, well done!
Happy C –
These Hokas are perfect for winter weather. They’re warm and waterproof with great treads for the snow and ice. If I’m not wearing boots, these are now my go-to shoes. I also love the color. They fit great and look good, too.
Sarah –
These are amazingly comfortable, versatile shoes. They’re waterproof and I can even run in them. There super in the winter with 2-5 inches of snow. Well, well worth the money.
