Love the shoe but I need a half size( 9 1/2) apparently not manufactured in that size
Lana –
Really cool shoes although it takes a moment to get used to the bulky look, they’re very padded and puffy – definitely different – almost Apre -ski style like. I got the Oat Milk color which I love and it looks like the picture online. I usually wear 6 Medium in HOKA but I had to size up to 6.5 and they fit perfect with socks.
Cat –
I’m normally a size 8 but size 8 for these is so small. It’s a struggle to get the slip on shoe on and my toes feel tight in the toe box, especially with wool socks. Definitely size up!
Bella –
Wear to do yard work. Boot keeps feet dry and warm. Runs a little small if you want to wear with heavy socks. Wish I’d sized up. Not easy to slip foot into but if you place one finger on front loop and one on back loop slipping boot on is easier. . The fabric around the top of boot keeps out dirt and leavesdefinite plus.Definitely like this boot.

After returning one pair and exchanging a second for a larger size, I realized that I might have been able to keep the smaller size but stretch the gortex liner by either wearing them until they were broken in or using a boot stretcher device to stretch the top of the shoe a bit.
So, for those saying it is a tight moc /boot- it does appear that way but with a little bit of tinkering it likely will fit better- even in a size that feels absolutely too small.
I thought I’d just share this in case it helps someone make the best decision. It is really convenient to have warm slip on waterproof shoes to run errands and take morning walks.
I’ve now walked in them a bit and they’re a good and convenient purchase for people that live in areas with frequent snowy or wintry mix cold conditions.
Happy shopping.

I originally ordered a size9.5 because that is the size of most other Hoka shoes I have purchased. They were a bit tight in the toes so I sent them back easily and the return shipping happened immediately after placing it in the mail. Such a great company!!!
Olivia –
These are great shoesvery warm and stylish! I hope they come in a wide version, as they’re a bit snug on the toes for me. Highly recommend!

I am still testing them out. I want them to work out but they are very stiff and uncomfortable. It is my hope they break in and I won’t need to return them. The look is great. Not sure if they provide the warmth as advertised. Not cold enough yet to test and see. The foot bed is very stiff. I don’t feel the comfort like I do in my other 6 pairs of Hoka’s. That was disappointing when I first put them on. My other Goretex Clifton’s were also very stiff but seemed to have gotten more comfortable as I wear them. I am hoping the same for this pair.
Sister G –
Perfect. My feet feel so so good in these.
I have severe painful get and multiple surgeries. So I needed a shoe for the maximum cushioned and perfect fit.

This is my 2nd pair of Hoka’s, 1st Brandi 8 and these. I will still have to purchase better inserts for perfect comfort. I do the same for my Nike’s

I exchanged the original shoe for my usual size HOKA. Fits so much better and no longer looks too large. Yes, my toes may touch the front (so far ok). The toe bed is narrower than the Bondi I wear and the shoe length seems a little shorter but overall they feel like a much better fit. And comfortable!
My takeaway is that we all have different size feet. Mine are small, narrow/thin. Therefore, there is plenty of room in the shoe. However I can see where a wider foot and/or a longer foot may need to upsize. There was no way to know this based on reviews. So I went with the consensus.
Ana –
I went up 1/2 size. My feet stay warm and comfy when I’m walking or hiking out in the cold.

I ordered my usual size, even though others said they needed to go up a size, because I always wear thin silk socks in all padded boots – and these fit me well. The toe box looks a little narrower than other models, but I didn’t feel cramped. They are very warm and comfy – I wore them in single-digit temperatures yesterday. Only drawback – getting into them is an ordeal.
SH –
I love these HOKA’s. I sized up a 1/2 size from my HOKA running shoes.
Jo –
First, since these are insulated, it’s going to be a little smaller than usual and better suited for narrower feet. My usual size of 7.5 is a little tight but it took me time to break into these. I tried an 8 and it was a little too loose for me. Just remember that these shoes need to be broken into. I would order your usual size and 0.5 size up and try both to see which fit you like better.
That being said, these shoes are super warm and snow-resistant. I wore these on a snowy hiking trip to Denver and it held up really well. The traction in the snow is pretty solid for a non-snow shoe and the waterproof held up great against the snow. Also kept my feet really warm.
Mary –
Really like them to walk around in the cold frosty days particularly the more I wear them.
The problem is they are so hard to get on and the toggle isn’t easy to use. I don’t think I need a larger size because they don’t seem too tight once I get in them but it’s just the back folds under my heel and is hard to get up without a shoe horn
Lindsay4200 –
I live in Jackson, WY and our winters are either full of deep snow or freezing temps both of which make walking for health complicated. These shoes totally take the danger and struggle out of walking in cold, snowy, icy conditions. They are warm enough, way more comfortable than winter boots, sturdy and have good traction.
Max –
Use it for cold temperature, in and outside.
Sadie –
Exactly what I’ve been looking for. An insulated, waterproof, well cushioned and comfortable SHOE ( not a snow boot). I DID add some faux fur insoles for added warmth on the soles of my feet.
Susan –
Just what I needed for my upcoming trip to the Arctic
Funface –
I got the black color when mine was the only size available. So it’s not an attractive shoe, and could make your foot look big, but I wanted a warm practical walk about some for winter in NY. Either all the negative reviews , I was concerned and when they arrived they did feel snug. I wore around house, and they felt better, but I knew I’d be wearing thick socks, maybe two pair to keep warm. I stuck cold soda cans up in foot to help stretch them. Well it was frigid cold snd snowed and these have served me well for walking about. I made them work for me.
Yooper G –
These movs feel like a warm slipper. Extremely warm and comfortable!

I want to love these, but I just can’t. Even in a size much larger than I have ever worn, I felt like my toe is right at the end. When I compared the length of these (sole to sole) against my Hoka hiking boots, they were the same, despite my Hoka hiking boots being 1/2 size smaller. There’s a stiff rubber toe guard that seems to add to the feeling of the boots being stiff and too small. Returning these and ordering the Kaha insulated hiking boots from REI.
Dragonfly –
I got these for when I”m standing and painting on a concrete floor at my studio. My back and feet were always sore at the end of the day so I looked into an alternative to what I was wearing. I have two pairs of HOKA tennies and figured, hey, their boots must be comfy too. I wore them last night there for the first time and my feet were warm and my back and feet didn’t hurt at the end of the day! Highly recommend. They do run a tad smaller as the toe box isn’t as big as on the tennies so I ordered a half size up.
