First!! But I do love them
Jkernn –
I was looking forward to these boots for a long time as they kept teasing them for what seemed like months. Once the boots came in sadly they were small and narrow. Also the sock type thing on top of the boot was extremely annoying as it kept getting caught underneath my heel and I’d have to dig it out with my finger just to put the boot on. Once I finally got the boot on I noticed they were extremely stiff and uncomfortable. Not a lot of cushion compared to the Clifton 9 or bondi 8.
I ordered both men’s and all gender options just incase one was wider than the other. I normally wear 11 wide, however I have some regular 11s as well. Both seemed about the same width wise. The men’s might have been a smidge wider. Also, I don’t understand why Hoka doesn’t offer all gender shoes in wide, since you offer wide shoes in both women’s and men’s.
I couldn’t return these fast enough.
Even if they fit properly I would have given them 3 stars. I feel like no matter what width your foot is the sock up top will be annoying regardless.
Hoka needs to offer boots and more shoes in wide. Please make more wide options.
Signed the wide foot Hoka lovers.

I wanted to like these, I really did. I was super excited for them to arrive. I have been wearing them the last few days and I cannot wear them anymore.
The size is fine, they fit true to size, but that is not the problem.
The problem is they have no support for the top of your foot so your foot will ALWAYS slide forward. This causes your heel to not be in place and your toes get crushed against the front of the shoe. I always have a gap where my heel should be, and my toes are much further forward than they should be.
I have a pair of Transports and I love the drawstring lace those have. I thought this shoe had a similar drawstring that was tucked inside. It does not. These only tighten the string around your ankle (which is very uncomfortable as it digs in quite badly).
As these are now I think they are basically unusable as shoes, which they are meant for the outdoors. even on a very short walk your feet will hurt and the sliding forward will cause circulation issues and your feet will be colder than if you were just wearing normal shoes.

I first ordered my normal size in Hokas and they were short as well as very hard to get on. The knit cuff became wadded up and took way too much time to straighten out. Ordered a size larger and tried them with smooth light-weight socks, not the best for cold weather, but thought it might help. It did not, still unsatisfactory to put on. Presumably this is a design satisfactory for short jaunts into the cold, but when it takes as long to put them on as you plan to wear them, it doesn’t work.

I was disappointed at the look up close and not at all pleased with the hard flat insole.

I buy size 10 Mens in all Hoka shoes. This size 10 was to tight in the tip and the insulation of the shoe made the Toe box to tight. I was going to return for a size 10.5 but decided to return because it looks like the design of it will be tight on my toes even going up a size.

My feet are always cold, I’ve been using the gortex Hikers from Hoka but no laces are a dream!!

I ordered one pair felt the weird fold in the toe so I thought I’d order a size up, but you can still fill that fold which is from the design of the shoe shoe looks cool feels comfortable just a warning to anybody kind of annoying hoping I get used to it.

I bought these for work and absolutely love them. They are comfy and warm for those cold days. They actually look a lot better in person than in the pics. I love them!

I live in Wisconsin and my feet are always cold so I’m always looking for warm shoes. These are the freaking best! You get the Hoka soles that are so cushioned plus a puffer jacket upper to keep your feet warm. I’ve run errands in them, gone on a trail hike and wear them in house like slippers. I just ordered my second pair in a different color bc I’m obsessed.

I have bought size 10 Hoka for years and these were extremely tight and not true to size like the rest of the shoes. Had to return.
Ed –
I love the idea of this shoe! But your execution and quality control after 2 different sizes is not what I have experienced before with Hoka. I’ve read other reviews and your reply’s and I’m worried you’re not getting the message. You missed so far on this one and need to fix it. First pair a 9 and pull on the back tore after 3 weeks. Almost impossible to get on with a sock. Second pair a 9.5 and still too difficult with a sock and not worrying about tearing again. BUT WORSE IS THE RIGHT SHOE FITS TIGHTER THAN THE SHORTER SIZE RETURDED. Fabric is all bunched up at the toe. Last feels tighter regardless. I would love to have this shoe when right. Don’t want to have to keep going to UPS to return.

Trying on first time felt ok
Haven’t used yet so review is not adequate

Sizing is small for a 15. If there are any sizes you should offer in wide, I wish it had been 15.
Moyi –
I dont feel confortable is not cushion
Da B –
I do a lot of walking at work and I haven’t had any issues I wear a normal pair of socks and they fit just like my other pairs of hoka shoes that I own
Tomato P –
I love the idea of these. They look huuge on foot though. Not the normal Hoka cushion, imagine a shoe boot. But they serve the purpose.
Also keep seeing people say these fit small. If y’all have narrow feet like me these fit like normal hokas or even a smidge bigger
Snow D –
I wanted these for those annoying dog walks in the snow, I don’t have a yard so I have to walk my dogs on a leash outside for potty breaks. I was tried of trying to put on heavy boots for this and these seemed like a great slip on solution waterproof and warm and easy to slide on. I will tell you what I wasn’t expecting was for these to replace my heavy snow boots for the winter. I have been wearing these for everything, dog walks, winter hikes, driving to the ski hill, grocery runs etc. I haven’t really found a need to wear my other winter shoes and these have replaced them all. If you live where it snows and is cold and you are lazy about laces these are for you.
Mac –
I live in Wisconsin. I wear them for walking my dogs, no slipping on icy roads. Super comfortable and warm. I like wearing them to shovel snow and going the gym where I can put on/ take off with ease.
Joe –
A little hard to get on plus not quite enough room if a second layer of socks might be needed on a cold day. Otherwise very comfortable
S –
These “slip on” boots run small! Make sure you order sizes larger than what you would normally order from HOKA. I bought my usual HOKA size and I can’t slip them on. So tight. I wish these were available in a mid or high style boot with literal plush cushioning, not the figurative plush cushioning advertised by HOKA. I’m patiently waiting for the mid to high style of these to become available. Actual plush cushioning would be an added incentive. Overall construction of the boot is solid. HOKA makes better boots than most.
Sam –
Very comfortable, cushion is very comfort.

In the cold winter, it keeps my feet warmer than just wear a hiking boots or sneaker.
Bryan –
I can’t believe the negative reviews! This is the best shoe I’ve ever owned. Serioulsy getting a second pari in the new color!

To everyone complaining that these shoes are hard go get on, or are too tight in the toe, or whatever, YOU HAVE TO BREAK THEM IN! Don’t judge them afte one or two wears. Give them a chance. I thought the same thing when I first put them on. Once they are broken in properly, the slide right on with little effort and are by far the warmest, coziest shoes you will ever own.
