I purchased these shoes because as I age ,I need more cushioning in hiking boots. I also carry a large lens for wildlife photography. I do have another brand which I love, however that model has been discontinued. I brought both to Big Bend National Park, located in Far SW Texas, known for it’s rocky trail and unforgiving cacti and snakes. The shoes were very stable when navigating the Window Trail and Lost Mine Trail, as well as the many others we hiked. The silent approach helped us get some great wildlife photos. I never used my other shoes nor my Hoka sneakers, as these were comfortable all day.

These boots not only look great, but the really feel great. As comfortable and their sneakers with the bonus of being a snow boot. Tested these out for a hike around my hometown in Utah, got to see how they work in snow, dirt, and rocky terrain. I purchased the cream/white color. My usual size is 8 and I purchased an 8, I like the flexibility and room around the feet because sometimes I need a wider fit but they feel great I had no issues hiking for over 4 hours.
My only regret is not coating them with a protective layer of stain treatment. The dirt really got into the cloth part and it’s hard to remove. Beautiful boots nonetheless!

These boots are as comfortable as my favorite shoes and super warm. Very happy with my choice!

Long walks in inclement Colorado weather are now possible with these arch supporting walking shoes/boots. Pricey, but worth it – the ultimate in comfort and functionality.

The boots were an awful fit. I was going to the mountains and needed boots. I called Hoka to ask if I could get a different snow shoe rush delivered
I have bought at least 10 pairs of Hoka and felt it was a very reasonable request. I also have referred countless friends (mistake!!!) I was told NO and girl was very RUDE
I will not buy from Hoka again
I got some sorel boots they gave free shipping (rush!) and are perfect
DOWN WITH HOKA

Its construction precludes stretching. My left foot is size 8, right foot 8.5. The toebox in this boot is too snug for me in both length and the width. I don’t think it’s going to stretch. It’s for petite feet. But it’s a well made boot with a terrific sole. I think the waterproofing and insulation probably contribute to it being tight. Sizing up to a 9? Na.

The Oatmilk/Sesame color of these shoes appears VERY different from what is shown in the photos. In person, the shoes are more of a white shade rather than a beige tone. For a more accurate representation of the color, I recommend searching “Kaha 2 Frost GTX white” online, where other retailers display the true color. While the shoes themselves are great, the color discrepancy was disappointing.

I hike/walk 5 miles + every day with my dog. We live in the country in the Sierra foothills. I have a bad back and these keep my feet dry and warm. They are very comfortable and sorta cute. I wear them so much I worry I will wear them out.

I wear a size 10.5 women’s and they honestly look liked the shoes from back to the future which is cool if you’re in to it. I also over pronate and this style I feel like made me do that extra for the few steps.

Bought these for a trip to Helsinki/Rovaniemi in December. These shoes were comfortable enough to wear all day walking around, and with some merino wool socks my feet stayed completely dry walking through snow/slush and stepping in the occasional deep puddle. As for the warmth, I had no problems with my feet freezing most of the trip. However, when we went to Ranua Wildlife Park in below freezing temperatures, my toes were frozen within half an hour of our 2 hour walk around the park. Might have been because we weren’t walking very fast and spent quite some time standing at each of the animals’ exhibit. Whereas when we went to the SnowGlow Winterpark at -23 degrees, my feet were a bit warmer while we ran around with the occasional warm up stops in the restaurant. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and plan to use these in future trips to snowy areas.

I gave 3 stars because the price is very high. The price does not match the quality. I bought hoka sneakers and they are really comfortable shoes. I expected the same from these winter boots, but they are tight in the ankle. I usually use size 9 (for hoka) but the boots ordered 9.5 and they only fit tightly. So order a size larger than you wear.

The boot fit ok put the insulation mess not at all soft or cushy on the inside. My ankle got rubbed. The foot part was ok but the top wasn’t comfortable

I love all my Hoka shoes but needed an insulated boot that would be comfortable for plantar fasciitis. This checks all the boxes: waterproof, insulated, comfortable, great grip. And these have already gone through a 5 degree day with no problem. My feet were toasty. I normally wear an 8.5 wide and the 8.5 regular were a perfect fit. I highly recommend giving them a try.

I love the color, the terrific tread, the fit and comfort. I have many Hokas; these will be great for ice and snow.

I bought these for a Christmas vacation to Sedona and the Grand Canyon and wasn’t disappointed. I did a lot of reading about different HOKA hiking and trail shoes as I love all of my HOKA’s and was sure they would have the right shoe for the trip.
I was a bit worried my feet would be too hot in these as there was no snow on the ground however they were perfect.
With a few fresh mornings these proved to be just right, my feet were always warm enough but never too hot.
We walked many miles over the week and on one day we walked over 10 miles and not once did I feel any discomfort, aching or get any blisters.
If you are looking for a comfortable, warm, flexible and well supported hiking boot you won’t be disappointed!
On the size, initially they looked big when I opened the box but they were true to size.

So they don’t fit but I did wear them outside for about 15 minutes thinking they would get better but they are just too tight. I was wondering if I could return them even though I wore them.

I purchased these for my recent trip to Iceland in mid-January. I almost returned them because I thought that maybe I wouldn’t need them, but decided to take them last minute. Definitely a great decision because they performed extremely well. The traction in snow and slush is great, they kept me warm and dry even when walking through water, and they are so comfortable. I wore them for a few days straight without breaking them in first, but I didn’t have any blisters or discomfort. A bit expensive, but worth it for how great they have been so far.

Comfortable and supportive. I normally wear a women’s 7.5 Wide in Gaviota 5, but ordered an 8 because these boots are not available in wide. This worked out well for me. The color Quartz was accurate to the photo, maybe a bit more “dusty mauve”. I have slightly wider legs above the ankle, which leads to a roughly inch gap at the top two eyelets when lacing them up. This doesn’t bother me, but could to some. Good grip when walking. So far, they have supported my feet & body well, kept my feet warm & look nice. Kinda pricey, but the best winter boot I have ever worn.

These shoes have been so far really good for me. I’ve experience a lot of feet pain because I have very flat feet. But these shoes really help me because I’m on my feet a lot and walk a lot. They also support my ankles. I’m excited to take them hiking, for they offer a lot of comfort and cushion.

These are great winter hikers (and around town), very comfortable and keep my feet warm, but they seem huge compared to my regular Kaha 2 hikers. I probably could have gone down a half size but kept them. Plenty of room for thick socks.

I have Bunions, arthritis and Raynoud’s in my feet. These boots are very comfortable for my feet, very warm in our cold winter, water proof so far – though as yet just ice and snow to test them. Easy to get on/off. Good ankle support. I was going to order these earlier in the winter but hesitated due to the high price. My other winter boots just not warm enough. Very happy that these fit so well, my feet are happy out in the cold. I have a narrow heel and need wide toe box for the bunion issue. The only color choice was the rosy lavender color which I like. Goes with my winter coat. So glad that HOKA came out with an insulated boot.
