Barry –
Fits and performs great. Sturdier midsole protection than the Bondi 8.
Mark –
Loved the Bondi 8 not sure how the 9 became so much better but wow! These are like walking on a cloud with a little support and your feet and the rest of your body with thank you later. Great job Hoka.

Bought for my son in law and he loves them

I think this might be my last pair of Hoka shoes. They have just gone too far with the foam. More foam doesn’t make a better sneaker. Style and color? They deserve a 10 all day long. But the foam! It’s just too squishy for me. Why do they think 3mm more in the Bondi 9 va Bondi 8 would be better????
When I wear them I can’t help but feel like I bought a pair of really, really expensive foam sandals, not to be named here.

Great fit and sizing is true

I have purchased 4 pairs of Hoka Bondi in the past. Loved them all, especially Bondi 8, and recommended them enthusiastically to all my friends. My love affair with Bondi is now over after just purchasing their newest Bondi 9. Words can’t describe what a piece of absolute junk this newest version is. Unlike my other Bondis it is very uncomfortable, hurt the side of my left foot and hurt the forefoot of my right. Lesson learned. No more Bondis for me ever again.

This is my first time wearing Hokas. Very nice. I need a roomy toe box, so I had to get Extra Wide. One of my wife’s relatives is a big walker, and Hokas helped her knees, so I gave these a try. The cushioning makes the shoes feel elevated. I am getting used to that, and to the soles rocking design. It makes me pick up my feet as I walk. Good times and a bit of adjustment.

I loved my Bondi 8’s and was worried the 9’s wouldn’t be comfortable but I have been very happy with them so far and think they will be quite comfortable.

In Bondi 8, I wore and was happy with a Women’s Size 8.5 W. I have wedge-shaped feet and this particular style worked well. The new Bondi 9 seems to be, for me an unhappy, return to Hoka’s normal narrower profile and my former size no longer worked. Decker, the maker of Hokas, told me the specs on the Women’s and Men’s versions were similar but that the Men’s were supposedly a little more generous in sizing than the Women’s in comparable sizes. I tried that route but not true for my feet. Comparable sizes were very close in feel. I like the color offerings in the men’s much better so settled on Men’s Bondi 9 in size 7 (comparable to Women’s 8.5) Extra Wide (which is very close to the Bondi 8 W–go figure) instead. It’s a just a little longer in the front than the women’s but the gray color is so much better. Thanks, Zappos, for the depth of inventory and ease/speed of ordering! Have been a VIP member for years and so happy!

I wore them for the first time yesterday on a 5 mile urban trail hike. Very comfortable, great support. I’ve been walking in a pair of “barefoot” style hiking shoes. I do like the feel of my feet hitting the trail, but I like even more Hoka’s cushioned comfort. I’ll probably hang up my barefoot shoes except for the gym.
I typically wear size 11 and I got a pair of 11 Hokas, and they felt comfortable and snug, maybe a wee bit too snug, but not so snug to want to size up. They are new and I suspect they will loosen some with use.
One thing that is a minor annoyance with Hoka, is that they do have a large foot print and it’s sort of hard to drive in them, especially if you have a manual transmission with tight room between the three pedals on the floorboard. But no big deal, I just don’t drive in them.

Men’s Bondi 9, after wearing them two times they felt so soft and a lot of cushioning. Love them now for the support they give me. Also.,jogged a mile and a half in 18 minutes with Bondi 9, faster than Bondi 8. 79 year old male now.

Like the redesign – not so wide. Ankle doesn’t want to roll with side to side movements

ordered my usual size (men’s 11 extra wide) and it fit great. Very comfortable
Tim –
Thank you for bringing the squishy back. I’ve been wearing Bondi since version 5. Over time the foam became a little more firm each time (at least that’s how it felt to me). The 8 being the most firm. They have been my go to for everyday runs, but I do prefer a softer foam to absorb the road impact and save my aging joints. I don’t need a fast shoe because I’m not racing in them, just road running for health and fitness. The fit is a little different than the 8. I always buy a wide EE but these wides are slightly less wide than previous models. The width still works for me but I can feel the difference. All in all I’m happy with them and will continue to buy more.
Stuart –
Probably the best shoes, at least that I can remember, like ever.

Normally I do not wear a wide sneaker. I have multiple Hoka sneakers and never had to get a wide width. I originally ordered these at the same size as my other Hokas and I returned the sneaker for the same length but in a wide width which fit perfect. They have more cushioning than just about any other sneaker I’ve bought and are extremely comfortable and surprisingly do not feel like you’re giving anything up laterally. I would strongly recommend them but be aware if you’re feet are borderline order the wider width.

I feel like I am walking on a cloud! I have extremely flat, narrow feet and this shoe is so comfortable. My ankle pain disappeared after I wore this shoe to work. The shoes aren’t considered stylish around my area, but I like that they look sleeker than other sneaker brands. Will definitely be purchasing another pair so I can alternate and extend the life of my Hokas!
Douglas –
A little small. Also in less than 10 days developed a small tear in fabric near one of the eyelets.
Nanditha –
This shoe is very comfortable
Janice –
Great service and shoes
Eric –
The fit is excellent and the color is nice. They are very comfortable for long walks.

This Bondi is “more attractive” than last years model that I have. It is not as bulky looking on the foot. The foot cushion is great. I am however experiencing a heel issue that I have had about a year…and the fit of the shoe on the right heel is extremely uncomfortable. Bondi will not work for me this time.

Perfect fit. Great combination of firm support and superb cushioning

I love Zappos and I love Hoka. My only complaint is with Hoka. Although I love their shoes the shoe laces are ridiculously long. This seems like a new thing with Hoka since I’ve been wearing the brand for years. Every time I buy a pair I have to then buy shorter laces because when I wear shorts the laces whip my ankles and it drives me nuts. First world problem I know.

I’ve had problems with finding a shoe and this is finally it.
