I have ran in all brand shoes and I have had many versions of Bondis. These are the best yet. I like these better than the Bondi X. I had been running in a minimal shoe , however, I have been having some knee pain recently. Since changing to these I have had no knee pain. Thanks Hoka!!!

I got mine today. Hit the ground walking. Then I hit the treadmill.. Yes.. still cushiony.. My bunion loves them. They are lighter weight. I was skeptical because I said they couldn’t top the 7’s. They did it. I wear the men’s because of my bunion. Just the right width for me. I got the black ones because I am a New Yorker and the front is a different. Makes my feet look smaller. The tread at the bottom is improved. It has more meat to the tread. Go out and buy them…..

I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Bondi 7’s but the Bondi 8’s fixed all my gripes and then some! I tie my shoes each entry and the 7’a heel cup would still bunch up on me, but not the case with the 8’s. I don’t need a wide shoe but 7’s would pinch the outside of my foot, and the Bondi 8’s feel like they are cradling the outside of my foot, it’s a pleasant, supportive feeling.
The Bondi 8 looks much better, the laces are stronger, and it has improved almost every aspect that I had issues with on the Bondi 7’s. I can am extremely pleased with the Bondi 8’s, they live up to the expectations I have when I invest my money in a pair of Hokas. Well done!

As a woman with wide, troubled feet, a Men’s 84E is not easy to come by in any brand. Hoka delivered the perfect shoe for my foot shape in the Bondi v7. When I first saw the v8, I thought they did it again. But it’s a trick of the eye. The upper knit potion (bad at sneaker-speak) is actually (or feels like) is slightly narrower in the forefoot. The base/knit is narrower at the midsole. It’s a slightly straighter cut, even though the foam underneath looks like it provides a wider base/same width on top. To me, it feel more like a 2E. It no longer matches the shape of my foot. In fact, my feet are coming off the sides. Definitely, a notch above in cushion, super plush, and they were already plush. If you have a wider forefoot, as I do, you might be disappointed. I’m crushed. Surprising: No black? P.S. It feels true to size length-wise.

I’ve had the Bondi 8 for about a week and walked 42 miles so far. The one problem I experienced was the semi-gusseted tongue. I have a high arch and I underpronate. The tongue was pulling to one side which was causing pain in the instep area of my arch. I decided to cut the elastic to eliminate the “gusset”. After I did this, the instep pain went away and the tongue stays in place. Other than that issue, the shoe is great and is very comfortable. Actually, it’s more comfortable than the Bondi 7. I am hoping that the Bondi 8 is a lot more durable than the Bondi 7. Because of my underpronation, I am a heal striker. The tread on the lateral side of the heal on the Bondi 7 started wearing out after about 70 miles and was completely smooth by 150 miles. This happened on all three pairs of the Bondi 7 that I owned.

The 1 star rating is related to the color shown on Zappos website. Thought it was very unusual that a new Bondi 8 color would be available on Zappos before the HOKA website. Was initially so relieved when a new shoe wasn’t either bright orange, yellow, or teal. Arrived today. Not quite the same color scheme as what is shown on website. And there is teal!?#%!?!????

These shoes fit very true to size and are extremely comfortable. I wore the Hoka Bondi 7’s, but wasn’t crazy about the color I bought, so I returned them and waited until the 8’s came out. I have to admit, I do not notice any difference in the comfort/cushioning between the Bondi 7 and 8; however, I think the styling and appearance of the 8 is far superior than the 7. I have read reviews where people think the tongue is a bit too short, but I think it is very adequate. There’s a nice amount of room in the toe box area and as Hoka’s are known for, they are very stable. For anyone with neuropathy, these would be a terrific shoe for walking and/or running.

I usually purchase a pair of HOKA Bondi for work, and, for doing my long slow runs. I am a 10.5 2E in most Hokas. However, the Bondi 8 is way too narrow for a 2E that I am accustomed to.
I may have to try the 4E for this model. However, I believe they will be too wide in the ankles and will experience heel slipping, which has never happened with all the Bondis I have purchased going back to the Bondi 4.
I still believe they are the most comfortable cushioned shoes one can purchase today, but I most likely will have to skip this model and hope the 9 revert to the widths of the Bondi 6 & 7
I would still recommend to anyone who gets a good fit with them.

I have been using the bondi 7 as my everyday trainer for almost 2 years. I have logged almost 2000 miles across several pairs, so naturally I was excited to try the bondi 8. Unfortunately, Hoka decided to take the new model is a completely different direction with new foam, a narrower foot bed through the arch, and more restrictive ankle cushioning that makes these unusable for me. I’ll be stocking up on Bondis 7s until the next version I guess. A big let down.

I’m 83, try to walk a minimum of 2-3 miles early in the morning. Not as fast as when a marathoner in my 40s and 50s but fast enough to keep the cardio doctors at bay.
The shoes have an excellent fit, extra wide, good support and cushioning. When on my walk they feel so good I often fantasize about picking up the pace and actually running.

I am a really heavy guy, like 320lbs, and any other shoe I tried my feet hurt. The cushioning on these is SO nice that my feet and ankles don’t hurt after physical activity. I walk about 3-4 miles a day and have really enjoyed these shoes.

This will be my fifth pair of Hoka’s. Every pair so far has had the back inside of the shoe come apart and expose the plastic behind it. This will be my last try. I reached out to Hoka and received no help. It seems like because that is the area that rubs your heal when you take off the shoe or put it on the material is just tearing apart. My most recent sneaker is about 6 months old. I hope this Bondi 8 works because I really like the comfort of the sneaker. If it works, I will come back and change my rating, however the manufacturer will not stand behind the sneaker so buyer beware.

I use my Bondi’s for working at the front desk all day. Before I wore standard shoes or addidas. They worked for a few months but since I’m heavy, I figured I would try something that looked a bit more durable. As soon as I put them on I felt like I was waking on cloud and the bruises that would be left on my heel from working all day faded away and never showed back up! Exactly what I wanted and I feel better at work everyday!!

Only had the sneakers for a couple of weeks before it hot a gash in the sole that came out of nowhere. Poorly made.

Feel more stable in the Bondi 8 than I did in the 7. You sacrifice a little of the plushness but it is ok just so you can add stability.

I have arthritis in my feet, and these shoes are wonderful for walking. They are very comfortable and stylish.

As an educator I’m standing all day long and I find the plush comfort of wearing the Hoka Bondi 8’s absolutely amazing! My back, knees and feet feel great after a long day at work. I even use them for casual wear and the Bondi’s for refereeing College and High Schoo Basketball!

I’m not a runner, but I’m an athlete, so I run. These shoes make my runs bearable. My issues with running are mental but having the right running shoe allows me to fly!

After a lot of research I decided to try these. I have arthritic knees, hips, and a spine. These actually have made a huge difference in my daily walks & jogs. Will definitely stick with this brand.

Iv had many many pairs of Hoka one shoes especially the Bondi. They are the most comfortable shoes. Only thing that works for my plantar fasciitis. But they all have the same problem – lack of durability. And I’m not expecting them to last 10 years. But it’s ridiculous that each and every one of them after just 3-6 months of very light use start to tear and degrade especially behind the heel.

My first ever Hoka’s were the best, I bought the exact same ones, Cliftons, and they were terrible, they developed holes and were trashed in no time. But when I went for a new pair they didn’t have my size and so I bit the bullet and purchased the Bondi 8. So far my feet love these shoes. I use them as my daily wear shoes.

I have heard a lot of good things about HOKAs and how comfortable they are. This is not an exaggeration, they are so comfy, supportive and fit well. I liked them so much I got a second pair.

Fourth pair of the Bondi and this is the best yet. My right foot severely injured in falling accident so I need a shoe to accommodate an orthotic as well as cushioning for the heel and an extra wide toe box. The Bondi 8 delivers in all ways. In addition, the rocker sole to protects my fused toes and the wide base provides stability. I’m so glad that they are available in 4E sizes! This shoe gives me back a part of my life that was missing. Thank you!

I have to buy the men’s shoe to fit my wide feet but I love them. I wish the ladies shoes came in wider widths so I could get some more colorful shoes – pink, purple etc..
Either way, I’m hooked on the comfort!

I purchased a pair of Hoka Bondi 8 for my son middle school aged after falling absolutely in love with mine. He was rarely able to find a sneaker that fit in all the right places and allowed him to live his active life without pain. These shoes are just as amazing for him as they have been for me. He loves how they feel, their support, and he loves that he no longer has pain. These shoes are amazing!
