Ken –
I had been having problems with my heels and ankles, injury from having increased my training distances too quickly over a period of about a month. I laid off from running and tried hiking, but my heel and ankles seemed not to be getting any better until I bought these shoes! I am feeling much better. I still feel my heels and ankles from time to time, but I can tell I am getting better. These shoes are really making a difference!
Hoky –
The usual Hoka quality. However, I had to return the shoes, not for quality problems but because I have a very high arch, which prevented me to even fit into the shoe.
JM –
Snug width, but okay. Tried for walking on streets, not enough support overall. Felt like middle of the bottom of shoe gives in and feels like your walking on a hard surface. Not enough support, felt very flimsy. Liked the color (Dark Blue and white) wish Bondi came in that color.

I’ve been running in Arahi 6’s since they initially came out, running three marathons in them and other races in them, so I was extremely disappointed with the new version. Because I couldn’t tolerate the 7’s on my foot, I had to race with my old 6’s instead of the new ones I bought for my upcoming race. I don’t know exactly what changed, but the toe box feels more narrow, toe bruises and blood blisters started to form on some light break in runs I had planned before the race. The ankles also rub something fierce compared to the 6’s which caused issues on race day with my old shoes. I still finished the race, but my performance suffered due to the pain I had on my feet going in.
It’s a shame because after a spinal fusion surgery these were the best shoes I could find for distance/endurance running for me without a tremendous amount of back pain. That went out the window with the 7’s, even a few mile shake out run caused pain.
I’ll have to go to the drawing board and find a new brand or try out the Graviota’s (which I don’t have a lot of faith in now).
Kurtis –
The Arahi 7 in wides are more narrow than previous versions of the Arahi lineup. I wish they brought back the responsive instead of the balanced they have now. The Gaviota 5 are excellent for wide feet but the plush design is way to soft. I’ve had 3 pairs of the Arahi 5, 1 pair of thr Arahi 6, 1 pair of the Gaviota 5 and now one pair of the disappointing Arahi 7. The perfect fit would be the Gaviota 5 in wide with a responsive cushioning. So far the Arahi 5 have been the best for the Arahi line up. If Arahi made an extra wide it may be better. We shall see but the Arahi 7 is a disappointment, to me anyway.

I wanted to like these but can’t.The arch support is good but the lack of cushioning in the heel is why I sent back.ASICS kayano and NB 990 I recommend for stability and cushioning.

I needed to replace my Gaviota 4’s and decided to try the Arahi 7’s to save a few bucks. They just are not as comfortable as the Gaviotas. I tried to go through a break-in period with them hoping they would be more comfortable for walking, but after a month, i have given up. I will purchase another pair of Gaviotas and keep these for casual wearing.
Shoe L –
The sure has changed regarding the width. It is no longer a wide shoe even though you buy a wide. The makers of the shoe is now making them narrow versus a larger front foot fit. I hate it and returned it.
Brian –
Great fit and support! I walk 5 miles daily and these shoes are the best I have tried.
MB –
I wear my ARAHI 7 shoes every day, since I have neuropathy in both legs, and these shoes really do lessen the pain in my legs and feet. I really do feel like I’m walking on air.
Steve –
I ‘ve had three knee replacements and an ankle fusion so the Hokas are a godsend for my beat up legs.

Great shoes! This is my second pair and I have been very pleased with the comfort and wear. I use custom orthotics and they work well with this style.

Shoes fit great. Feel great. I am 6’5” 375 pounds and I would recommend these shoes to everyone.
More importantly, Zappo’s customer service was top notch. I am a forever customer! Thank you Zappo’s

Really liked the shoe coming from the Arahi 6. Felt lighter than the 6, but the fit was completely different. Sent them back and going to find them in a store to get the correct sizing. Just be cautious when ordering your regular size b/c they do fit tighter/narrower.
Raymond –
I’m a big man. I’ve tried other shoes, but they just don’t last long. Hoka Arahi 7 are the best. Actually, all Hoka shoes are.
JWS –
Was having a great deal of arch pain (I’m flat footed) and the doctor recommended these along with arch support inserts. Very comfortable…I got some for the indoor and outdoor because I can no longer go barefoot in the house. Sizing was spot on with an ample footbed in a regular width.
Bjamomof3 –
I have a large bunion on one foot and these shoes allow me to be active without pain caused by pressure on the bunion. These were highly recommended by my podiatrist and now I know why. This is my second pair and I love them.
Phillips –
LOVE this shoe. Fits great… feels great… ordering another pair after this review.
Big A –
Just purchased my 3rd pair of Hoka’s. Although pricey, I’ve never worn a more comfortable sneaker.
Smitty –
Great balance, look and comfort.
Samuel –
I use my shoes for work daily, the give my knees and back continues support are they are super comfortable. I have 5 pair of these shoes.

Very pronounce arch support. Not the best for flat feets. Light weight and breedable.
Anonymous –
Perfect for me.
Amy –
My husband has very narrow long feet. I read a comment that these shoes rub narrow. He loves them. We will be ordering more.

We picked two styles and preferred the other style.
