A breathable hiking boot is exactly what I’ve been waiting for from HOKA. This one looks and feels great. It has everything I want in a bootgreat cushion, breathability, grippy sole, and durable upper. I have two complaints: 1. They need to offer a wide version. This boot feels narrow in the toe box/forefoot. 2. The threading/seam that runs across the the forefoot from the tongue/laces to the midsole across big toe joint was bothersome on one boot. Otherwise, these have so much potential. The size is very true. I returned mine simply because I I’d be better off with a wide version if they made it. The boot was quite comfortable around the house, but I had my doubts about hiking 10 miles in them without a little more width in the toe box. They are very cute, if that matters to you! Many will love this boot, I just like a little extra breathing room for my toes.

I loved that these shoes were stylish and the tan goes with everything. I also had to walk through some snow and my feet stayed dry so that was a plus. However, for the price I was expecting these to be super comfortable and not cause any foot pain. I put them to the test hiking for miles every day for a week in Utah and my feet were exhausted / hurt after each day. It seems something is off with the arch area of Hoka hiking boots. I don’t have any special arch requirements and can wear any shoes but something just felt weird in the inner arch area of these shoes. They also came untied often, so I’d recommend double knotting them for long hikes. Overall, they are nice but not worth the price for the level of comfort you get.

The sole is amazing. After a couple miles of walking, my heels would be in so much pain but with these shoes I can comfortably walk all day. I love the color and look forward to spending the summer in these with the breezy toes. I originally ordered the 8.5 but exchanged it for an 8, it was only a week from dropping it off at the post office to receiving my new pair!

Love them! After a long hike, no feet or leg pain.

Very nice product. Stylish and sturdy. I sized down and made the right choice. I’m usually an 8.5 but the 8 fit well and with room. This color turned out to be more tan/ beige than I imagined and I like it. Works well with ash brown and olive green. Spend the extra couple dollars to buy these if you want to a good outfit that stands up to best of them without sacrificing the knee pain, ankle pain, the back pain that comes with walking around for hours. Worth every penny.

I have been wearing the Anacapa Gore-Tex for over a year and love them. These Breeze are much cooler for summer dry hiking. I love the laces and fasteners as well. I’m not sure why REI doesn’t have these yet but the Hoka return policy is also very good. But I will not be returning them as I love them! I wear a size 9 in Hoka, hiking shoes and boots, 8 1/2 in Hoka trail runners and waking shoes.

These shoes are impressive. I work in TV/ Film. First week in them and they’re super supportive. Out in the desert in AZ and they have been nothing but incredible especially for my long days (12+ hours a day) on my feet with plantar fasciitis that hasn’t gone away. Highly recommend!!

I bought the ANACAPA BREEZE MID and I use them for working out too. They are super comfortable and my style . Will be being again!

I bought these for a trip to Utah, and for my first time hiking ever. I love them so!! much!! They are super lightweight, grippy, no blisters, and they don’t make my feet hot, even after hours long hikes. I am in general a size 7 and the 7’s fit me perfect, although if you are a thicker sock wearer I would maybe size up a little. I have narrow feet and so cannot comment on the width, they fit wonderfully.

I really like the feel of these boots. Much easier to slip my feet into than my last pair of Hokas. The only downside might be, that I develop a hole usually in fabric covered shoes, and the last pair had leather covering more of the toe area.

They fit well and last a long time.

The first time I wore these for a long hike, I brought other shoes just in case. I didn’t even think about the other shoes the entire day. These boots are so comfortable right away and require no break-in period. The high top keeps me from rolling my ankles and the sole is responsive on all terrains. New favorite hiking boot!

I have searched for years for a hiking shoe/boot that would work for my narrow, high arched feet. After 5-6 miles with numerous brands my feet would be killing me even with a variety of expensive arch support inserts. Just finished a 9 mile hike in these & my feet don’t hurt! Thank you! I will be getting another pair as a backup.

I sized up 1/2 size, then returned and sized up one whole size. The toe box is definitely narrow. I wore them to hike the TMB and the top eyelet/hook snapped off on day 3. Zappos return policy doesn’t cover them, so i contacted Hoka. I returned them 2 weeks ago but haven’t heard anything. I had to pay for return warranty shipping. Definitely disappointed in the quality and Hoka’s customer service. Do not buy these boots.!
Kallen30 –
The most important is that this boot is very breathable. The sole is thick enough for me to travel around walking on different surface. The top is high and protective without making my ankles uncomfortable. I am buying this shoe for my healing foot. It serves the purpose 70%. My affected foot still feels hurt or tired after walking for an hour.

I have owned my pair of HOKAs for several years. My 26-year-old daughter, who is the one who introduced me to the brand, now has two pairs. Knowing how comfortable they are, I recently purchased the Anacapa Breeze Mid for my 18-year-old daughter who has significant physical and cognitive impairments. She hates wearing shoes and is always taking them off on the school bus or in the classroom. The Anacapa provides support around her ankles, making it difficult for her to take them off. She has been much more mobile at school since she started wearing them and does not even try to take them off! She is nonverbal so she can’t say what she thinks of her new Hokas, but the fact that she is walking more at school and doesn’t even try to take them off tells me that she finds them to be comfortable. I am very happy with my purchase.
Jules –
Even though they are a hiking type boot, I use them primarily for walking. I like the ankle support. Hoka came highly recommended by my podiatrist. I was disappointed when just a few days after purchasing them straight from the HOKA sight, they sent me an ad for the same boot for $40.00 less. Am waiting to hear if they have an adjustment policy so that I may get the difference back.
Purdue_1993 –
I really enjoy my mid top HOKA shoes. They provide excellent ankle support and work with my feet for 12 hours each day. I love them! I highly recommend them!
Alliebear –
I just bought my second pair of these shoes and I’m so excited about getting to wear them. My job requires a ton of walking and these boots truly help me get through the day with little to no foot pain. I’ve tried 3 other types of hoka shoes both regular tennis shoes and one other type of boot and while those were just okay the anacapa breeze are hands down my favorite.
Skyfired69 –
Hands down, Hoka IS the best. All my shoes are Hoka. Will not buy any other shoes.
MA –
Love the shoes, didn’t like how long it took to get my refund on a 2nd pair of shoes that was mistakenly ordered
Dee –
I love the tread on the shoes. I hope to wear them this winter.
JB –
Love the Ancapa Breeze shoes. I wear them for eight hours a day, five days a week, in a wide range of outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, and varying terrains like trails, dirt, sand, and pavement. Even after a long day, my feet feel comfortable and energized. I also appreciate the high-top design for added stability and protection.
Shoe is not waterproof. My feet get wet in rain or snows.
