I love Hokas in general. As a lifelong hiker and skier I feel that that the comfort and cushion have saved my knees and joints. My only wish is that they didn’t wear out as fast as they do. The fit is perfect and never a blister or breakin period needed.

I have the Kaha2 and I love them! They are so comfortable! I found that there is a rating you can look up that tells you the amount of cushion for each shoe. This shoe is moderate. The Kaha2 is plush. If you don’t need a lot of cushion these could be your option. It’s not Jonas fault that I chose incorrectly.

These were great, comfortable, waterproof , fantastic footing hiking a landslide and glacier. No slip treads, wore them all day with comfort fit.

This is a day one review. I’m definitely not an expert hiker, but I like to get out there and I don’t like coming home with wet and muddy feet. I bought these today (shout-out to the excellent staff at Sam’s Outdoor Outfitters in Hadley, MA who helped with sizing) and took them out for a quick two mile jaunt. They were comfortable right out of the box and I appreciate the fact that they’re lightweight and sturdy at the same time. I trudged through mud with no slipping. I splashed through pretty deep puddles and watched with glee as the water rolled right off that Gore-Tex. I clambered up rotten logs to peek down at a mossy ravine. I walked down a rocky path to spy on basking turtles with no ankle rolling. The entire time I was out there, I didn’t worry about my feet once. I felt secure and confident. I can’t wait to get back out again. (Also, I came across some mushrooms that matched my boots almost exactly, and that’s pretty cool.)

Comfort would be a ten if they didn’t run narrow. I bought the 7.5 women’s and they were too big, had to return them for a 7. And they are comfortable but narrow. But I can’t waste anymore time I need them for work .

I bought these for work. I’m an ups driver and am on my feet all day. They are very very comfy and keep my feet dry in the rain.
Candy –
Purchased these for work. I’m on my feet daily for 16 plus hours. They are extremely light and comfortable

I have had tendon transfer surgery to correct a “drop foot” which was as a result of a complicated hip replacement. I also have permanent nerve damage in the same leg and foot. I have to wear custom made shoe insoles, until I found these shoes. I am so excited that I have found shoes I can wear straight out of the box! I don’t pronate, they don’t bother my foot and they provide ankle support! I love these and will be purchasing other colors!

If you’re a 20-something with no foot issues, then I’m sure you’ll love this shoe.
I am a bit older & require a bit more out of a shoe which is why I LOVE HOKA! Saved me a fortune in podiatrist bills.
However, I found this shoe cumbersome, uncomfortable, with a smaller toe-box and they were not quite a half size too small.
I returned them. No hassle. So 3 stars for quality & ease.
These shoes would last quite some time for the right person.

The fit and size are great and just right. Very comfortable. Looking forward to getting them out on the trails!

At 70, I need the support of these shoes. They give me safety and comfort and stability. And, they are purple

Best hiking shoe/boot ever had, and we have been hiking for 30+ years.

Purchased these for my wife. She loves them. Only problem is now I have to go hiking with her more than I’d like to!

I live on an island in the Gulf of Alaska called Kodiak. We have warmer weather than mainland Alaska with lots of rain. I got these boots a week ago and they have already passed the waterproof test many times. So light and comfortable! Also the drop heel helps keep the pain in my knee at bay somehow.
My hiking buddies are getting more interested every day.

It was hard to pick between these and the Kahas, which I chose in the end. These are lightweight and comfortable, and I knew the Hoka fit.

perfect for me , thanks

I’m using the boot in my almost daily 2.5-5 mile walk. The boot helps my gait remain “true” as in no inversion of foot when I walk, a miraculous feeling as my gait is affected by dystonia. I discovered the “gait help” after acquiring the Gaviota 5. I bought the Anacapa for the winter.

I bought these for hiking the West Highland Way in Scotland (100 miles) without ever having tried Hoka before. I LOVED them. They are very comfortable and I didn’t get one blister on the whole trip (plus the whole summer of training hikes beforehand). They were also good at keeping my feet dry.

I bought this pair specifically for hiking the West Highland Way in Scotland (100 miles). These shoes were great! I wore them during the months of training leading up to the hike as well. I never got a blister, hot spot, or had any issues other than sore feet on the long mileage days. They also kept my feet dry when hiking in the rain or puddles.

These were a pretty risky purchase for a 6 week hiking trip overseas. I only had a week to test them but right out of the box they were very comfortable. They ended up being a perfect combination of bouncy running shoe and tough hiker for a trip that had a lot of pavement and gravel. This is one of the best shoes I’ve ever owned. Long live HOKA.
Meg –
Generally this was a perfect hiking shoe. Great fit and comfort right out of the box. Combines all the best qualities of a cushy running shoe with some of the support and grip of a hiking shoe. This was an ideal choice for a long hike that included many concrete and gravel stretches because of all the cushion and bounce in the soles. This was my first pair of HOKAs and not my last.

I usually need a 7.5 or 8 in athletic shoes and the 7.5 was too large for me. I think they’d be great for winter walking/hiking but a smaller size was unavailable.
Janis –
I love these shoes! I purchased them to hike in the woods and hilly park in the rain and snow. they did not disappoint! I would recommend them to anyone looking.
