Super grippy and comfy on first wear, no blisters thank god. Did a steep trail that had water running down it, zero water seeped through and did not slip even once on the slick rocks. Really appealing side silhouette and the coloring is rich.

I have purchased several Hoka Bondi and Clifton shoes over the years in size 8 1/2 which fit me perfectly. I really liked the style and color of the new Anacapa shoes but neither the size 8 1/2 nor the size 9 fit properly and both were too small in the toe area.

I bought these for an upcoming trip to Montana. I have been wearing them around the house a bit and overall they are very comfortable. I do feel that the tongue is a bit stiff, and concerned that it might cause a blister to form once I put them to the true test….hopefully not, though!

Please make these in wide

Great shoe! Hiked 10 miles on the AT and no aches and pains afterwards. Didn’t have to “break in” the shoe beforehand either!

I chose the Anacapa 2 Low GTX to replace the U Clifton L GTX I bought two years ago. I an an “urban walker” and the asphalt eats up the tred on regular walkers. In addition, the Goretex allows me to walk anywhere without getting wet feet. I chose the Anacapa over the current Clifton GTX as it is sturdy and has a better toe box for my foot.
The only complaint I have is that the shoelaces are horrible. They are cut and color coordinated, but round and thick and DON’T stay tied. I am searching for another kind.

What a great shoe! I have been a Hoka fan for over 10 years. I wear them for running & walking. I have not had a problem with plantar fasciitis since wearing Hokas. I had a previous pair of Hoka hikers, but wore them out! I find that Hokas fit pretty much true to size. However, I did buy 1/2 size larger to accommodate a thicker hiking sock.

Expensive yet for me worth it. Purchased water proof shoes to walk the dog in colder weather, to keep my feet warmer and so far my toes are staying warm.

Can hike again! Thanks, Hoka, for taking away most of the pain so I can go enjoy the trails!!

Small toe box makes this shoe uncomfortable, narrow in both dimensions.

I ordered these to replace the worn out Anacapa Low GTX I bought last spring – which were not the greatest but at least decent. At first I thought there was some kind of mistake because these were not recognizable as being the same shoe. These have a tighter toe box, almost no cushioning, and soles that are stiff as a wooden board. I will never again spend so much money to essentially beta test Hoka’s latest downgrade in quality. The Bondi 5s and 6s were amazing, but in recent years Hoka quality has gone down hill across every model I’ve tried.

I was so happy to find these PINK+PURPLE shoes! They were everything I was looking for; waterproof, lightweight, flexible, good heel cushion, the best colorway ever. But throughout the week, my legs and lower back began to hurt and my cats helped me figure out why. As they were rough housing, they knocked these shoes off the shoe rack and I noticed them wobble in a weird way when they landed. I picked up a shoe and rolled it from heel to toe as if in a walking motion. The sole had been forcing my foot to roll from the outer heel to the inner big toe, completely ruining my balance and making my ankles and calves overcompensate for stability. This is a horrendous design. I tried on other Hoka shoes and noticed exactly the same sole pattern, must roll from outer heel to big toe. My love affair with Hoka has ended as hard and fast as it began.

The Anacapa 2 Low in blue is really pretty. The toe box seems just a little snugger than the Anacapa Breeze. I am returning the 2 because it’s not as comfortable as the breeze on my feet.

Unlike other hiking shoes, these were comfortable and supportive right out of the box. They fit true to size in width, might be snug if you have a wide foot. Plenty of rooms for my toes. They run a tiny bit long, though. It’s not uncomfortable, so I’ll keep them.

I received an email regarding the ANACAP 2 LOW GTX of HOKA. this is the 8th pair of HOKA’s I have bought this year. I usually buy the Clifton 9’s. My daughter wears the Bondi for her retail job where she is running on her feet every day. When this style came through my email and seeing how the heel seemed to have a little extra girth/padding for heel walkers I thought I want to try those. I went through the colors. The color I liked was on sale. Must have been an Oman that I needed this shoe. I know the prices seem a little high. But honestly you get what you pay for in shoes. And these shoes are amazing.

Awesome, feels great on my feet, good grip and support.

So far I’m very pleased with this shoe after a week or two wearing it. Where I walk the dog along a country road I’m always coming back with wet feet this time of year. Now I can cross my lawn and even the occasional foray into the weedy ditch and come home without squishy toes. They seem as supportive as the other gait correcting shoes that I’ve purchased from Hoka. These do seem to have a very large toe box in her hard to cinch up very tight, except over the arch which isn’t necessary. But overall isn’t causing me any pain or discomfort.
Leaky S –
Went through two pairs of the same shoes. Both leaked at the big toe on both shoes after walking a short distance through wet grass.

Waited to send a review until I broke my sneakers in. They are great for a girl with a lot of foot problems. I don’t even need my orthopedic inserts. Lots of room in the toe box and cushion support with each step. First time wearing this brand and I love them.

Got my HOKA Anacapa 2 for hiking in Africa. Love the comfort and thick soles’n

Purchased these ANACAPA 2 shoes for walking and hiking. Soooo comfy for a walk but also comfy and substantial for everyday use.

I wear hoka shoes everyday, and can’t say enough about how great they are. So when I needed a pair of hiking shoes for vacation , I immediately went to hoka . Com , and found exactly what I was looking for. Couldn’t be happier with them.

I originally ordered a pair of Skyline Float X hikers, but they felt a little too small & sort of cheap-feeling. Then I found the Anacapa’s. They were on sale, so significantly cheaper than the Skylines. I wasn’t sure about the brownish color, but for the price I decided to try them & ordered them 1/2 size bigger than the Skylines. They are SO comfortable – wore them for the first time the other day on a 1.5 hour mountain hike & no problems at all. And I think the color looks nicer in person than online. I also feel like these were a better value than the Skylines b/c they contain some genuine leather & are Gortex. They feel more sturdy & well-made, like a hiking shoe rather than a tennis shoe. I would definitely recommend.

Hiked on these for 3 weeks in the Dolomites. Comfortable. Good grip even on wet limestone. Great shoe to accommodate wide toe box. Maybe a bit too large, wore thicker socks. Works great for general hiking and as easy approach shoe. But the sole is too soft for via ferrata or scrambling. My foot placements held, but they were sloppy, leaning, not 100% solid. Handled scree, steep slopes, rock, grass all okay just not solid enough for more technical. Goretex kept socks dry even in rain and snow.

Love it, pretty color too
